Seychelles is now open for fully vaccinated travellers

ByAmogh Sahasrabhojanee

As of 25 March, Seychelles is open to tourists from all over, however, the new measures now make it compulsory for travellers from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan to enter the island only after their second dose of vaccination has been completed.

How do you enter Seychelles?

Two weeks after the second dose of vaccination is over, visitors will need proof of their final vaccination and will have to apply here for the mandatory Health Travel Authorization (HTA). Other documents that will be required in the application include a negative RT-PCR test taken 72 hours before departure, passport, information regarding your flight and stay and your credit/debit card.

The application will be verified and approved by the Public Health Authority, provided all documents are in place. You can then check-in, get your HTA verified by your airline and enter Seychelles. For those below 18, only a negative RT-PCR test taken 72 hours before departure is mandatory, a double vaccination is not required.

Visitors will also need health insurance covering COVID testing, quarantine, isolation and medical care.

Staying at Seychelles

Once you enter, there’s no mandatory quarantine period, however, you will have to comply with the measures and protocols in place. This includes wearing masks, social distancing and regular sanitation.

While you’re here, you can choose to stay at any health certified tourism accommodation and make sure to follow all the measures and protocols there.

Note: Visitors from Brazil and those who have been to South Africa in 14 days preceding arrival won’t be allowed to enter Seychelles.
